  1. This file describes changes to Sfware.  The changes are listed in
  2. reverse order by version number.  The most recent version is listed
  3. first.  Within each version, the changes are listed in no particular
  4. order.

  6. Sfware vers 1.1a update: 04/30/1992
  7.  
  8.   -Changed: SFSHELL vers 1.1a, SFFX vers 1.11, 
  9.  
  10.             Note: some utilities were accidentally released with
  11.                   vers=1.11 (SFDIR, SFINFO, SFVIEW, and SFFX).
  12.                   In order to avoid further confusing things by attempting
  13.                   to fix the problem, I'm going to let it stand.
  14.                   The discrepancy between 1.11 and 1.1a is accidental.
  15.                   To avoid any future confusion, Small Planet Software
  16.                   will never release a version 1.11.

  18.   -Fixed bug in SfShell: the Three-D/Drop-Shadow effect could not
  19.    be selected in SfShell.  The effect number (an internal identifier)
  20.    was incorrect.  SfFx _could_ still perform the effect but the shell
  21.    couldn't select it.
  22.   -SfFx: Improved the inter-character spacing in the "slant" effect.  It
  23.    still isn't perfect (and I'm not sure it can be perfected).
  24.   -SfFx: Improved the resize effect.  If integral magnifications (100%,
  25.    200%, 300%, etc) are specified in both the X _and_ Y directions, the
  26.    resize effect will no longer exhibit any rounding errors.

  30.   -Fixed bug in SfFx: compression flag was random
  31.   -Fixed bug in SfRotate: header wasn't being updated correctly
  32.   -Fixed small bug in SfRotate: the port->land message was being
  33.    printed at a point when the current orientation wasn't known!
  34.   -Fixed small bug that caused the "header line" in the window
  35.    box of SfShell to scroll.
  36.   -Changed the "ok to replace" file prompt to perform a CR/LF
  37.    if the user enters "Y"
  38.   -Changed SfConfig to automatically add SFCONFIG VERSION to the
  39.    configuration file.
  40.   -Attempted to improve the TILT effect (made the bounding boxes
  41.    always come out ok, made baseline more accurate)
  42.   -Fixed a small bug in RESIZE that caused the right-most and/or
  43.    bottom-most to sometimes be lost.
  44.   -Fixed a small bug in FILL: the font descriptor cell size was
  45.    too small.
  46.   -Fixed a small bug in MIRROR: the font descriptor baseline wasn't
  47.    being adjusted correctly.
  48.   -Changed the test for a scalable font.  Formerly it was dependent
  49.    on the size of the font descriptor OR the format byte.  Now it
  50.    is dependent on the size of the font descriptor AND the format
  51.    byte.
  52.   -View now positions at the first character in the font rather
  53.    than ASCII 0 when started.
  54.   -Fixed a bug in SFINFO: it was failing to close each font file
  55.    when a mask was specified.  This caused "too many open files"
  56.    errors if you had enough fonts.
